It´s winter time and the music
scene is a bit more quiet than usual. It´s the same every year: big names,
festivals and sideshows from mid Spring, all the way through Christmas and the
fun fading out by April until it kicks out again in September.
Last Thursday night I decided to
go down into the city to check a gig at the Hi-Fi. It seems a tradition that
every time a certain smartphone brand releases a new model, they organize an
event with give-aways, glowsticks and photo boots.
Since I didn´t have any photo submission
on the night, I decided to do some gear tests and just brought a pretty light
setup, a plastic 50mm lens and a small camera, essentially a weightless kit just to take a couple of snapshots. It didn´t go too bad I think but I won´t
use it again unless the stage is really low.
On a side note, I was quite
pleased to see that the Hi-Fi is now selling foam earplugs for $2, what would
probably save you from having beeping ears following morning or
potentially becoming deaf on the long run.
I enjoyed the night and had a
couple of drinks for a change. I hope you like the photos.
Thanks for reading.
