Best of last year´s - Part I

Some of the best music shows I have been over the last year, in no specific order. Just click in the band name to check their music on their MySpace and get the feel of what´s going on (fancy!).

Let´s get started, 3, 2 ,1… L-I-P - Best of last year´s - Part I

The Flaming Lips. One of my favourites shows last year. It is just amazing seeing Wayne Coyne crowdsurfing in a bubble .

Beirut, the gypsy indie folk sound from New york. As their “bio” states: a trumpet from Paris, farfisa organ, accordion, piano, ukelele, mandolin, glockenspiel, violin, cello, tambourine, the air powered organ I bought on twelfth street and  a Congo drum donated from the neighbours...

Battles, just an amazing performance that I could watch again and again. If you want to listen further, you should check this video of his take-away show in Wall Street.

Le Butcherettes: Mexican garage punk from Guadalajara, opening for Omar Rodriguez Lopez. They were literally climbing up the stage curtain at the East Brunswick Club.

The Wedding Present, simple fast old-school indie rock from Britain.

Lou Barlow, from Dinosaur Jr. Pretty intimate show where he showed us his funny side and gave us a little bit too much information while he was sipping scotch.

Girl Talk – That is just a -insane- P-A-R-T-Y. I am not too sure why he hasn´t been sued for copyright infringement yet, neither the NY Times magazine does.

Aphex Twin. Just come to daddy, would ya? Also, for nostalgics, check this video
